How to Defeat Baleful Shadow

Volcano Manor questline has a few characters in it that you will be doing quests for. In order to get to the Volcano Manor, the no. 1 thing is you have to find the Volcano Manor but that’s not the case. You’ve to find an NPC Rya which you will find in Liurnia of the Lakes.

Rya’s Quest and unlocking Volcano Manor

The location for Rya is in a stone structure area that is somewhere in the northwest between the Laskyar ruins and the Scenic Isle. The exact location is shown on the map.

You need to go and talk to Rya and accept her quest. She will ask for her necklace. You have to go to the Boilprawn shack which is northwest of where you met Rya. The location for the Boilprawn shack is shown with a red arrow in the image above. You can go there and talk to the NPC outside the shack and buy the Rya’s necklace off of him or you can kill him to obtain the Necklace, it’s your choice. Now you need to go back to Rya and give her the necklace. Rya will give you the Volcanic Manor invitation.

Later, you can meet Rya on the Grand Lift of Dectus. You will have to find and use both Medallions of Grand Lift of Dectus in order to use it. After you’ve gotten up the Grand lift of Dectus you’ll find Rya and you need to talk to her right up the Grand Lift of Dectus in the Altus Plateau Region. She will take your hand and teleport you to the Volcano Manor.

Volcano Manor Questline

After Rya has teleported you to the Volcano Manor, You will see two NPCs. You need to talk to the NPC sitting on the chair, her name is Tanith. You need to talk to her and she’ll tell you about the manor and will give you a Drawing-room key.

You need to head down the hallway to the first room and you’ll find a Rya and another NPC Bernahl there. There are a few items there on the big meeting table you can pick the items and you’ll receive the Letter from the Manor.

You’ve to talk to both Bernahl and Rya to unlock dialogue options and understand the Questline of the Volcano Manor.

Old Knight Istvan

You need to open the Letter from the Manor from your inventory and. It will tell you about the Old Knight Istvan. You need to open your map and you’ll see a red marker for the request: Istvan, which is in the Limgrave region of Elden Ring. You need to go to the location and fight to summon of the Invader Old Knight Istvan.

After you’ve defeated Istvan, you will receive the scaled armor set. Now, you need to go back to the Volcano Manor and talk to Tanith and you’ll receive the Magma Shot spell. You can also go to Bernahl and you can buy new ashes from him.

Zoraya’s Quest

You will next talk to Rya and you need to use grace and come back to the Manor and Rya will be converted to a snake. You need to go and talk to her, her name is now Zoraya. After you’ve talked to Zoraya, you need to go and talk to Tanith and select the dialogue option about Zoraya.

Now, you need to go back to the room where you met Zoraya and there will be a body and a hidden passage with a photo on the wall. You need to get near the wall and a hidden passage will appear you need to go through that passage.

You will reach the Temple of Ekley, you need to get make your way through this magma area and get to the Prison Town Church at the given location on the map.

Once, you’ve reached the Prison Town Church you’ll face the Godskin Noble. You’ve to defeat Godskin Noble you can use a Glintstone Staff with sorcery spells to attack the Godskin Noble from a distance. This way you can give him a good amount of damage. You can win this fight by keeping your distance.

Reward

You will get a new weapon Godskin Stitcher and Noble Presence Ashes of War from defeating the Godskin Noble.

You need to get to the main platform of the church and you will receive a sacred item from there called Serpent’s Amnion. You need to go back to the Volcano Manor and talk to Rya. She will be in the human form. After you’ve talked to Rya, you need to then talk to Tanith and she will give you the tonic of forgetfulness to give to Rya. So, Rya will forget everything about her.

Bernahl’s Quest

Berhnahl will give you a letter you need to open the letter and go to the capital city of Leyndell. You will see a red marker on the map for the twin brothers Vargram the Raging Wolf and Errant Sorcerer Wilhelm.

You need to get to the marker, invade into their world and you can easily defeat both Vargram the Raging Wolf and Errant Sorcerer Wilhelm. You will get Ragin Wolf to armor set and also the Alberich’s armor set by defeating both enemies.

Now, read the next letter and there is another red marker on the map in the Mountaintop of the Giants region for Request: Juno Hoslow.

You need to get to the marker and invade the world of Juno Hoslow and defeat him. You will get Hoslow’s Petal Whip weapon and Hoslow’s armor set after defeating Juno Hoslow.

Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy

You need to get to the Volcano Manor. There is a soldier kneeling you need to talk to him and he will ask you to defeat Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy. You need to talk to Tanith and she will give you the Taker’s Cameo. You need to talk to Bernahl and he will give you the Gelmir’s Fury, They’re preparing you for the fight with Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy.

Now, you’re ready to fight Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy.

Reward

After you’ve defeated Rykard, You will receive Rykard’s Great Rune and Remembrance of the Blasphemous.

Spare Rya’s Life

You need to go to the Volcano Manor take the lift to the second floor and make your way throw the Lava and you’ll reach a small room with red candles in it where you’ll find Rya. You need to talk to Rya and she will thank you for sparing her life.

You will kill Tanith and Tanith’s Knight, you will receive the Aspects of Crucible: Breath, and from Tanith, you will get the Consort’s Armor set.

You will now go back to the room where Rya was in the red candles room. You will not find her there but you will find a letter there, Letter of Farewell from Zoraya and Daedicar’s Woe. The Volcano Manor quest is now complete.
