Ghost and Grave Glovewort for Spirit summoning upgrades

Spirit summoning is used to summon different spirits you help in the game. They can be the Spirit of different animals or warriors to help you in boss fights or fighting enemies. The first spirit that you get in Elden ring is right at the start of the game from the NPC Roderika. She will give you a spirit calling bell and will also give you ashes of wolves that you can use to summon by your spirit calling bell. You will receive a lot of spirits within the game the main goal in this guide is how you can upgrade your spirits and ashes of war.

Unlocking Spirit Tuning

First, you need to meet Roderika in Stormhill shack and you need to help her in her questline. You will need to help her find her purpose which is in fact the Spirit tuning. You will find her Chrysalid’s memento from the Stormhill castle and then give it to her in stormhill shack. For a complete guide on how to do the roderika’s questline read this guide.

You will then find Roderika in Roundtable Hold and you’ll have to talk to her about with Hewg in Roundtable Hold whose a Smithing NPC. After which you will unlock Roderika as the Spirit Tuner.

Upgrading Spirit Summoning

Once, you’ve unlocked the Spirit Tuning at Roderika. You now have to find the items that are needed to upgrade your Spirit Summoning. These are the Ghost Glovewort and the Grave Glovewort.

Ghost Glovewort

For getting the first Ghost Glovewort, You need to have defeated the Caelid story boss Radan. Which is in the Eternal city of Nokron and will unlock this underground map including the city of Nokron. For a complete guide on how to defeat Radahn you can follow this guide.

Once, you’ve reached the Nokron, Eternal city, You need to go out of the main door to the main courtyard there is a small structure in the middle where you’ll find a dead body. You need to pick up the item from the dead body and you’ll receive the first Ghost Glovewort.

For the second Ghost Glovewort, you need to progress further west to Nokstella Waterfall Basin and then furthermore east to the main city of Nokstella. You need to give to the Nokstella, Eternal city at the given location on the map.

Once, you’ve reached there you need to go up the main staircase, there is one enemy and a lot of Slime enemies. It’s up to you if you want to kill them or move ahead to get the main item that is Ghost Glovewort. You need to go up the Staircase and take an immediate left to an open room there and there are a lot of slimes and a chest at the end of the room you need to open the chest and pick the items and you’ll get the second Ghost Glovewort.

Handing over and buying Ghost Glovewort

After you’ve gotten the two Ghost Glovewort, you need to go to Roundtable hold and turn these two Ghost Glovewort to the Twin Maiden Husks.

After you’ve offered them the Two Ghost Glovewort, you’ll then be able to purchase the 6 Ghost Glovewort which means that you can upgrade your spirit summon up to level 6 by going to the Roderika Spirit Tuning.

Grave Glovewort

For the Grave Glovewort, you need to the Wyndham Ruins which are to the west of the Caelid map.

You need to go there and move up to the ruins till you make your way up to the catacombs there is a door which you will open and there is a teleport there in the catacombs which will take you to a boss fight which is called Endtree Burial Watchdog.

You need to defeat the Endtree Burial Watchdog and you will receive the reward of the first Grave Glovewort.

Now, once you’ve acquired the first Grave Glovewort you need to go back to the Roundtable Hold and offer the Grave Glovewort to the Twin Maiden Husks. You can then purchase 3 Grave Glovewort from the Twin Maiden Husks which means it will upgrade your ashes to the level
