Elden Ring: Symbols under the stamina bar

In Elden Ring, you would see some symbols under the stamina bar of the player and wonder what these symbols are and what are they actually mean. These symbols will also change as you progress through the game and see even more symbols that really fascinate the players about these symbols.

Status Effects

The symbols that you see under the Stamina Bar of your player are the Status Effects of the different Armor and Talismans that you have equipped. Some of the symbols would have an up arrow on their side and some of the symbols would have a down arrow on their side. This means the buff of the status effects as well as the debuff of the status effects on your player.

If you have equipped an Armor or Talismans with certain Status Effects those will show up here. As an example, if you are wearing a talisman “Green Turtle Talisman”, it has a status effect of increasing the stamina recovery speed. This means it will increase the speed of recovery of your stamina.

If you are wearing Scholar’s Shield Armor, it’ll show the symbol of enhancing guarding ability. It means the shield will enhance your guard ability in fights. All of the armor and talismans in the game have different status effects that will show up here.

Now if you look closely, there are two types of symbols one with the square symbol and one with the diamond symbol. They both mean different. The Square symbol means Max, the Diamond symbol means Temporary. So, if you have a status effect of increasing FP in the Square symbol then it means, the FP is increasing to Max. If you see the same status effect but in the Diamond symbol then it means the FP is increasing temporarily. It will not go to the max.

This is all regarding the symbols that you see under the Stamina Bar of your player. It can be difficult to know exactly what they mean but you would be able to understand them if you know what armor and talismans are you wearing.
