In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla [Dawn of Ragnarok] take on godly powers in the mythical realm of Svartalfheim. There are five powers for you to have offering versatile new ways to approach stealth and combat through transforming, teleportation, and resurrection of the dead. To get started you need to collect The Hugr-Rip.

The Hugr-Rip

The Hugr-Rip is a Dwarven Artifact gifted to Odin early in the journey through Svartalfhiem. You will get this after the completion of the Rescue quest.

How to use Hugr-Rip

To use it you need a resource called Hugr which you can absorb from all the living beings including both Muspel and Jotnar enemies. The environment can also provide you Hugr by Hugr Bloom and Dwarven Shrines.

You have to sacrifice your health in exchange for Hugr when using the shrines. The Hugr-Rip has two slots so you can equip any two powers but you can use only one power at a time. Once you start using the power it will begin to consume Hugr and will remain active for a short period. As you use your Hugr you need to refill the bracer to power again. The powers can also be upgraded which will be necessary as you progress in Svartalfhiem. Let’s talk about the powers.

Power of Muspelheim

Power of Muspelheim fuses doing with lava and brimstone. This power gives you the appearance of the Muspel enemy. It can be sourced by defeating Muspel and absorbing their power.

You can use this power to sneak behind enemies to kill or avoid conflict all to gather. If you are detected, the Muspel effect will disappear. If you play stealth then this will be worth it to have this power. You can also walk on lava using the power of Muspelheim from this you have access to the rewards that you can’t reach.

Power of Jotunheim

The power of Jotunheim engulfs you in ice and sleet blending you with your Jotnar enemy. This allows one to walk undetected and escape the fights while teleporting during combat. You can gain this power by defeating Jotnar and absorbing their power.

Teleport with your bow and dispatch enemies while undetected. Watch your surroundings as verticality and distance are now yours to controls.

Power of the Raven

Power of the Raven transfers you into giant Raven [Eagle] and targets your enemies from the sky with the raven assassination. If you consider yourself in the struggle during the combat you can use this power to quickly escape. You can also use this power to travel the world more quickly or to gain access to a higher vantage point to approach your target. To equip the power of the Raven, defeat giant Raven throughout the Svartalfheim and absorb their power

Power of winter

The Power of Winter imbues your weapon with ice, causing explosive damage to enemies. To equip this power, defeat and absorb powers from Jotnar enemies. For the maximum effect of this power use this power against the powerful enemies to stun them with a full freeze before you eventually shattered them and deal high damage

Power of Rebirth

You can use this power to turn your enemies into your allies to fight alongside you. To make this power first tackle lower-ranked enemies and then turn your new allies on a single stronger enemy. You will need to defeat Muspel enemy factions to absorb this new power.

How to Upgrade

As you progress in the game you also need to upgrade your Hugr which is necessary. You can upgrade the Hugr-Rip by going to the Dwarven Blacksmith at the shelter in Svartalfheim. You will need fragments like Muspels, Jotuns, and Giant Ravens alongside Silica. This is a common resource and you can get it by Raven Raids. You can loot these fragments by killing enemies and by doing quests. Having these materials you can upgrade Hugr-Rip easily…
