Tekken: Bloodline Is a Netflix Animated Series Coming Later This Year
If you’ve been wondering what’s going on with Tekken, it seems Bandai Namco’s next move is not a new entry in the storied fighting game franchise. Instead, a freshly announced animated series from Netflix has surfaced, named Tekken: Bloodline.
As you can see in the above teaser trailer, this is an anime focusing on the origin story of Jin Kazama. While still training in traditional martial arts, his home is attacked by a mysterious evil and he’s forced to flee. He’ll train to achieve greater power under his uncle, Heihachi Mishima, so he can exact revenge. It’ll of course culminate in the King of Iron Fist Tournament, and multiple supporting characters are teased towards the end. We see glimpses of King, Paul, Leroy, Kazuya, and others.
It’s slated for release in 2022, so this will be something to fill the gap while we wait patiently for Tekken 8. Will you be tuning in for this series? Fulfil your destiny in the comments section below.
